The Muirshiel Centre’s Home Maintenance Service provides practical, needs‑led support to help adults stay safe, well and independent at home. We carry out small, essential tasks that reduce risk, prevent accidents and support people who may be at increased risk due to age, health, mobility or other vulnerabilities.
What we can help with:
• Installing and servicing key safes
• Changing lightbulbs and smoke alarm batteries
• Moving furniture
• Hanging or fitting curtains, rails and blinds
• Flat‑pack assembly
• Minor DIY and small repairs
• General safety checks and hazard reduction
• Preparing a home for hospital discharge
• Rapid Response for urgent safety concerns or sudden changes at home
All work is carried out by trained, safety‑aware staff who hold PVG checks, follow clear procedures and always ensure you are comfortable before any task begins.
Who is the service for:
Adults living in Inverclyde who may be at increased risk and would benefit from practical support to stay safe at home.
