About the Service

ACUMEN is a network of mental health service users and carers working across Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, Inverclyde and in Argyll & Bute. ACUMEN’s purpose is collective advocacy on behalf of its members to promote the wider involvement of experts by experience and carers in shaping mental health services and the promotion of recovery and wellbeing. To achieve its aims, ACUMEN encourages representation and volunteering from members to participate as equal partners in influencing decision making processes at every level. We believe that maximising involvement of service users and carers in all areas of service provision will improve services and the quality of life of participants.
