Mental Health Awareness Week – What’s on in Inverclyde

Discover how you can boost your mental health and get active

Mental Health Awareness Week is taking place between Monday 13 May and Sunday 19 May. The theme for 2024 is movement: moving more for our mental health.

Charities and voluntary groups in Inverclyde offer many different opportunities to get you up and about and feel the benefits of this for your mental wellbeing.

Over the course of the week, there various activities happening in our community to help you get involved in Mental Health Awareness Week.

Wise Group – Mental Health Awareness Week Roadshow

Come along for coffee cake and access resources to support employability and positive mental health.

Monday 13 May, Auchmountain Community Resource Centre, 10am – 1pm.

Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs Inverclyde - Walk and Talk Event

SFAD are launching a walk and talk event to support people affected by a loved one’s alcohol or drug use as part of Mental Health Awareness Week.

Join the group at Greenock Esplanade, Monday 13 May, 6-7pm.

Kooth National Webinar

Kooth offers free and anonymous digital mental health and wellbeing support for all those between the ages of 16 to 25 in Inverclyde.

Join their webinar and learn more about young people and mental health and what Kooth offers.

Your Voice Inverclyde Mindfulness Session

Enjoy a free Mindfulness session followed by a cuppa and a chat.

Mindfulness is a technique where you focus on the present moment without distraction or judgement. It is a type of mediation that can involve breathing exercises or guided imagery to relax your body and mind and reduce stress.

Come to 12 Clyde Square, Greenock, PA15 1NB, on Friday 17 May, 2pm – 3.30pm.
