About the Service

Covid-19 Update All church activities and groups are cancelled until further notice. Clydemen Lunch Club: held monthly, aims to restate former shipyard workers proud history and identity. With almost 100 on its register its monthly attendances 60-70. "Cafe Clydemen" starts with Coffee from 11.00 am moving to an illustrated talk with PowerPoint on an aspect of local history, shipbuilding, engineering or the sea by a guest speaker. The Lunch Club includes a 3-course buffet lunch. There is an annual excursion during the year and a Christmas Lunch provided by the church each December.

Eligibility Criteria

Clydemen is open to all. Its members are predominantly men who worked in the shipyards of the Lower Clyde but not exclusively so. Nearly all members are retired
