About the Service
CVS Inverclyde Community Link Workers are here to support patients of all GP practices in Inverclyde by offering a listening ear and a helping hand to guide them to services that are right for them. The team provide support for non-medical issues that impact on people’s health and wellbeing.
At some point in our life, we all struggle with challenges such as low income, debt, benefits, bereavement, disabilities, relationship issues, long term conditions, isolation, employment or housing difficulties. The Community Link Workers work alongside patients of a GP practice to connect them to the services and resources that will alleviate these problems and help them to find long-term solutions to promote good mental and physical health. Our role is to divert from the need for a GP appointment for life stressors which are non-medical and do not require the GP's expertise.
The team offer invaluable support to our communities and help Inverclyde’s residents to take care of their mental health and wellbeing.
The Community Link Worker team are in all 13 GP practices in Inverclyde. If you think one of our team could provide the right help or support for you, please get in touch with your GP practice reception team who will arrange a referral for you to speak with the Community Link Worker.
