About the Service
Moving On Inverclyde is a Centre of Excellence supporting individuals and their families affected by their own or another’s problematic substance use. We have been providing services in Inverclyde since 2002 between Greenock and Port Glasgow.
We believe everyone has the potential to rebuild their lives and reshape their futures. We also understand those using our service may have other difficulties or situations requiring support besides their recovery. This is why we have a full and robust package of support available through our partnerships and collaborations with local services to empower and enable a successful recovery.
Moving On offers a 4 phase programme from Early Intervention and Relapse Prevention to Community Engagement and aftercare support. We also support those with links to justice services as a result of their substance use - this is FREE to anyone living in Inverclyde.
Besides our main programme, we offer SMART recovery Meetings twice weekly for those on our programme with an open meeting held every Friday at 12.30pm in Port Glasgow at 7 1/2 John Wood Street. In addition we offer auricular acupuncture, access to gym cards, Peer led self hep groups, physical and mental wellbeing activities and other activities decided by those accessing the service.
Through our Centre of Excellence approach, we are proud to offer trauma counselling to those on our programme so they can address their recovery and mental health needs simultaneously.
We an also offer after hours appointments for anyone unable to attend during he day, and we can offer specific one to one support for anyone unable to access our group sessions. Everyone will have an allocated keyworker.
